History The Murrumbeena Baptist Church commenced the Student Accommodation Project in 1997 to:
What we have to offer The units are located next to the Murrumbeena Baptist Church Community Centre. Each unit consists of two bed-sit rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen and meals area. With four units, it can accommodate eight students in total. They are leased on a yearly basis, and they are furnished with bed, tables, chairs, study desks, fridges and shared washing facilities. Water, gas, electricity, and internet are included in the cost. Each room has telephone connection sockets but the service will be optional at students own expense. Units are allocated on the basis of an application and interview process at the Committee's discretion. Interviews normally begin in November and places are limited, so apply early. Typical Floorplan
Our Location Refer Map Our location is extremely close walking distance (Less than 250 metres) to the Murrumbeena Railway Station on the Pakenham line in Zone 1 (cheaper tickets to city). Murrumbeena is only 20 minutes from the city (13 km) and convenient to all city campuses such as Melbourne University and RMIT. It is very close to Caulfield and Clayton Campuses of Monash University. We are also well serviced by buses running just outside the units. (Deakin University Burwood campus can be accessed by bus). The units are adjacent to a local shopping strip catering for most shopping needs and within walking distance to Chadstone Shopping Centre. The Melway map reference is 69A4.
